Today I had the number 3 pick and decided to go back to hole 13. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. We had a good hunt there yesterday, and we had an even better one there today.
David Breedlove and I were by ourselves this morning, so when Larry Otwell and Michael Schrader showed up
late after the draw had been conducted, we invited them to hunt with us so we could shoot their ducks, also.
Now I don't know who shot whose ducks this morning, but I do know that we were all busy in hole 13 this morning.
We had a great time shooting, calling, joking, etc. The ducks worked good. We did not get any really large groups
in to the hole, but several responded and we got parts of them in and had a good time working them.
We killed 1 greenwing teal, 3 Gadwalls, 10 Mallard drakes, and 6 Mallard hens for a total of 20 ducks. And our
designated shooters knew when to quit shooting today. We were through hunting this morning at 8:30 a.m.
David and I are going to Stuttgart to set up our booth for Banfield's Best Duck Calls. We will show them on Friday
and Saturday at the Wings over the Prairie Festival.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my hunting friends.
More later.
