Today, Noel Ferguson and I hunted hole 6 again. We fought the ice again, all the way down the canal, through the boat trail and in the hole. We used the boat again to break the ice in the hole.

Just like yesterday, it was cold, very cold, and clear blue skies today. We set the decoys out and waited expectantly for ducks to appear, but it didn't happen. Just like yesterday, Noel and I left early and headed to Forrest City again with stops at Mack's in Stuttgart and Craig's Bar-be-que at DeValls Bluff.

We killed two Mallard hens and a Wood Duck hen. I knocked down a Mallard drake, but it escaped through the buck brush on the river. For the second night in a row Noel and I drug back in to Dumas after dark around 8:00 p.m. We aren't killing many ducks, but we are having a good time.

More later,

Royce
