Bud Grisham and Bill Doshier drove down from Harrison yesterday afternoon to hunt with Wes Wright and me today. Wes and I cooked fried duck and fried potatoes for them last night. And it sure was good, even if I say so myself.

We hunted hole 4 today. It is next to a rice field just west of it. There was a lot of shooting in the rice field, but none in hole 4. Ducks were overflying us going both directions. The bottom line is; the ducks are not ready to start using the timber, yet.

We had a good time visiting and will consider it a bonus when we start killing ducks in our timber again. Three other groups hunted and only one duck was killed on our place today. C. J. got a rest today, and didn't even get wet.

More later,

Royce
