Conditions at Winchester continue to be beautiful weather and hunting results continue to be very, very poor.

I hunted today with my good friend, Noel Ferguson, and his son-in-law, Greg Seale. Noel drove down from Harrison and Greg flew down from Springdale last night.

We had several groups hunting today and nobody killed more than four ducks. We had one pair of Mallards circle our hole, number 9, early and suddenly left us. We got lots of visiting in and a mid-morning snack today. About 11:30 a.m. another pair of Mallards worked our hole. We had the drake dip down in front of our blind and Noel and I both shot and we were amazed that he just flew off minus some tail feathers.

That was our only chance this morning and we blew it big time. No ducks today and no pictures.

More later,

Royce
